Tamara Joksimovic is the third year MFA Candidate in Scenic Design, at the University of South Carolina. Studying under Robert Richmond, Theatre Director and Chair of Theatre and Dance Department, she has realized a number of Student and Professional Productions. Originally comes from Belgrade, Serbia, where she graduated from Faculty of Applied Arts. In the Undergrad studies she participated in number of Theatre Projects, which took place both in Serbia and Internationally. She is the winner of the “Dositeja Scholarship”, which is the Scholarship of Republic of Serbia for best International students. In 2011 along with Nevena Prodanovic she co-designed “Waiting for Godot”, as the part of Student International Festival in Belgrade (FIST), Directed by Marija Lipkovsi and Ana Popovic, which was nominated for the First Prize at ITS Festival in Amsterdam. After a successful Internship in prestigious Opera Company La Fura Dels Baus, Barcelona, Spain, she got an opportunity to work professionally as a part of their creative team on several upcoming projects. She designed Set and Projections for the pioneering show of Full Circle Productions- GROUNDED.
